Breeding Program
Our aim is to produce quality young horses which are capable of achieving Grand Prix Dressage given a willing partner and the correct training opportunities. However, we recognize that not all riders aspire to the dizzy FEI heights and so aim for well balanced horses that are capable of partnering the novice rider with success as well. We are committed to breeding the equine baby sound of both mind and limb and packaged in an attractive, well conformed body. Our young horses are bred and raised with diligence and love following a structured care and feeding regime with only the best interests of the individual horse at heart. The Southern breeding program commenced in 2001 and we now have a small band of select broodmares carrying the bloodlines of Medallion, Donnerhall (Don Ramiro), Salute, Sandro and Clintino (Kaptain), APH Speigel as well as a dilution of thoroughbred. We specifically complement each individual mare’s mating with a focus on the utilization of imported bloodlines via frozen semen when suitable. Young stock bred on our property have achieved excellent prices at both private sale and auction (this is not to say there is not a bargain to be had from time to time) Young Southern horses are now being partnered by both dressage squad riders and judges as well as novice pleasure riders.
